1. Travelling to Lille
Almost all the participants will travel by plane to one of the three following airports:
- Paris airport Charles de Gaulle (CDG)
- Zaventem airport (BRU)
- Charleroi airport (CRL)
You will find hereafter some useful information allowing you to reach one of the two train stations in Lille. Note however that the big majority of shuttles will deserve the lille Europe station.
a. From the Charleroi Airport (CRL) to Lille Europe
There best option to reach Lille if you travel via the Charleroi airport is the shuttle (bus).
b. From the Zaventem airport (BRU) to Lille Europe
- take a shuttle (direct train) to Brussels Midi station(12 km in 20-30min) - link
- take then a train from Brussels midi railway station to Lille Europe . Tickets & reservation with the Belgian railways (EN) or with the French railways (EN)
c. From Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) to Lille Europe
The shortest and simplest way to reach Lille is to take the train. Please note that the french railways society offer the possibility to buy lowcost tickets (booking here) or normal (booking here). The travel duration is variable, from 49 minutes to 1h30, so check carefully the timetables before booking.
The two train stations deserved by train in Lille when coming from Paris airport or by Paris Nord train station are :
- Lille Europe
- Lille Flandres
Situated at 2 minutes (walk) from each other they are equally connected by the metro.
2. Travelling in Lille
Public transport. Ilévia provides the following transport services :
- 2 métro lines,
- 2 tramway lines,
- more than 40 urban bus lines,
- 6 high frequency bus lines, (4 urban lianes, 2 inter-urban lianes),
- “Citadine” bus lines aimed at connecting neighbourhoods and living areas within the municipality,
- night buses from 9:30 pm until 00:30.

Euroweek participants are advised to use the metro network taking in account the short duration of travel (13 minutes from Lille Flandres metrostation to Villeneuve d'Ascq - 4 Cantons metro station) and the facility of access to the main attraction points or to the University Institute, where the academic activities are planned.
